ANKARA
Anadolu Agency News Academy will hold two separate training programs for foreign journalists planning to serve in war, natural disaster and extraordinary circumstances.
The "War Journalism Certificate Program" takes place with the cooperation of the Anadolu Agency News Academy and the Turkish Police Academy. Experts from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) also give lessons under the program.
Journalists from all corners of the world may apply for the Fourth or Fifth Term of War Journalism Certificate Program on their own or through the institution that they work in presently.
The Certificate Program will last 10 days and the participants will go through 40 hours of training, including 36 hours of practical training, under 22 lesson titles.
Those who complete the training successfully will receive an "Achievement Certificate" while other participants will receive a "Participation Certificate".
Theoretical and practical lessons would be given at the Police Academy and at the premises of relevant institutions.

-Samples of news stories on war, samples of photographs and visual materials
-War photo journalism
-War cameraman
-Body language
-Media management during extraordinary circumstances
-Principles for publication
-First Aid (heart massage, broken bones, carrying with a stretcher), wounds, burns
-Close defense
-Terror and terrorism
-Refugee camps
-Technology and information security
-Social incidents
-Explosives, mines, booby trap and dangerous zones
-Ballistics
-Personal security theory/field (bullet proof vest, use of gas mask)
-Survival in a war zone theory/ field
-Vehicle safety (techniques for using motor vehicles)
-Law of wars
-Chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear attacks
-Determining direction and map reading
-Natural disasters (Simulation of earthquake)
-Conditions for applicants-
Individuals between the age of 18 and 50, who are at least graduates of a high school, who possess a driving license, and who do not have chronic or physical illness may apply for the program. Applications from relevant institutions must have the signature of an authorized person.
-Documents necessary for registration-
While registering, individuals must present a photocopy of their diploma, a legal document showing they have no past offenses, a medical report showing they are healthy, two photographs taken in the past one month, and a bank receipt showing they have deposited the necessary fee.

All interested individuals may apply to the War Journalism Certificate Program between September 12 and 25. Registration for the academy will take place on October 5. The Fourth Term War Journalism Training Program will take place between October 11 and 20 while the Fifth Term War Journalism Training Program would take place between October 30 and November 8.
