The Anadolu Agency (AA) will launch its US office, a major part of the AA's project for enhancing its global reach, in New York on November 24.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc and AA Board Chairman and Director General Kemal Ozturk will attend the inauguration of the AA's New York office in Manhattan, world center of finance, art and diplomacy.
The office will be the agency's coordinating center throughout the Americas. Located near the UN Headquarters and significant buildings of New York state, the office will transmit news from the Americas in all languages provided by AA.
The office, on Second Avenue, one of Manhattan's busiest streets, is equipped with the latest technological devices.
Developments and news reports from Wall Street will be provided to financial circles and its subscribers as well as news reports from the UN.
As part of its 'Centennial Vision', the Anadolu Agency has decided to divide its global network into five main regions including Europe, the Americas, Middle East-Africa, Asia-Caucasia, and Asia-Pacific.
AA currently provides wire service in six languages - Turkish, Arabic, English, Bosnian, Russian, and Kurdish - and aims to increase this number to eleven by 2020, when it will celebrate its hundredth anniversary.
