Meeting with SPA President Al Hussain on the occasion of the 4th News Agencies World Congress (NAWC), AA CEO Kemal Ozturk held talks with him regarding cooperation between two news agencies.
The two agreed on further developing the cooperation which they said would be of key importance in giving impetus to the relations between Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
Al-Hussein, who is also the Chairman of the 4th NAWC, expressed pleasure over the cooperation agreement with a strong world news agency like AA, emphasizing that their relations with AA dated back to old times.
"This agreement is of vital importance both for us and for our sister country Turkey," said Al-Hussein, describing the agreement as a key step in levelling up the bilateral relations of the two countries.
AA Chairman of the Board and Director General Kemal Ozturk also expressed his gratitude upon the agreement and pointed out that both Turkey and Saudi Arabia are two significant players in the region.
"The friendship of our countries has gone long way back in history. SPA will benefit from our news, taking them from our broadcast. We will also be able to more closely follow the latest developments in Saudi Arabia," noted Ozturk.
