A court in Ankara appointed trustees to run a school network managed by the Fethullah Terrorist Organization in the capital Thursday.
Trustees were appointed to the Akasya Education Services Inc. Co., which manages the Samanyolu Primary, Middle and High Schools, dormitory and Tomurcuk Pre-School, in the city’s Polatli district.
The trustees committee consists of Fiscal Consultant Nafiz Cavdar, Legal Consultant Unal Ecer, a former Republican People’s Party district head, and TED Private School Polatli Director Erdogan Ozmen.
Education at the schools continued without going through any breaks because of the appointment of trustees.
Fethullah Gulen, U.S.- based preacher, is the leader of Fethullah Terrorist Organization. His movement is accused of attempting to overthrow the Turkish government through his “parallel state” organization, which is said to have infiltrated state institutions, including the judiciary and police.
The group was also behind the December 2013 corruption investigation into senior government figures, including ministers.
Since early 2014, hundreds of civil servants, including police and public prosecutors, have been arrested or reassigned during investigations into the “parallel state”.
