CHP leader Kilicdaroglu in China

BEIJING 

Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu held talks in Beijing as part of his visit in China.

Kilicdaroglu visited the Chinese Academy of Space Science and Applied Research and came together with Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Kilicdaroglu's trip in China took start on Sunday and he visited the Chinese Academy of Space Science and Applied Research. He was informed about the studies of the academy and as the visit was closed to media news, it was stated that CHP leader observed the satellite manufacturing process and launching platforms.

He continued his busy schedule by heading to the International Department of the Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party. Delegations accompanied at the meeting between Kilicdaroglu and Wang Jiarui, the head of the International Department.

Jiarui drew attentions to the growing bilateral relations between Turkey and China and reminded the cooperation agreements between two countries.

Chinese official stated, "Leaders of both countries shared communion in the scope of the improvement of Turkey-China relations. Economic and trade relations of Turkey and China develop every other day. This year will be the year of Turkey in China."

Moreover, Kilicdaroglu added that he believed the Turkey-China relations will grow and get stronger.

Kilicdaroglu said that having good relations with China was really important for them and underlined, "We wish to set up a close relationship between Chinese Communist Party and Turkey's CHP. We work together at the Socialist International already."

Kilicdaroglu meets Chinese deputies

At the second day of his visit, he met with the deputy chairman of the foreign relations committee of the National People's Congress, Nan Zhenzhong at his office. The meeting was closed to press. 

Kilicdaroglu then met with Li Yuanchao, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee. He said they would do their best to contribute to the developing bilateral relations of the two countries.     

Meanwhile Kilicdaroglu briefed some of the Chinese media outlets about his visit at the hotel he had been staying.   

Kilicdaroglu's visit in China will continue till January 18.
