Counter-narcotic teams with the Malatya, Gaziantep, and Ankara police departments confiscated 451 kg of hashish in their operations on Wednesday.
Police teams seized 275 kg hashish in Malatya, 112 kg hashish in Gaziantep, and 64 kg hashish in Ankara and arrested 28 people in connection with the illicit haul in their operation in these three cities.
Malatya Police Department made a written statement saying, "Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department of Malatya Police carried out a counter-narcotic operation in six different locations against illegal drug trafficking between February 25 and March 3, confiscating 275 kg hashish and detaining 13 people. Those people were later arrested by court and sent to Malatya prison."
