CAIRO
Death toll from violent protests in Egypt rose to 51 on Tuesday that erupted on the second anniversary of the revolution and escalated in the aftermath of a court ruling sentencing 21 suspects were to death in the Port Said case, Egyptian officials said.
The number of the wounded passed well over 1,500 as clashes between police and groups opposing President Mohamed Morsi continued in several cities including Cairo, the capital.
In Suez city hundreds of protestors marched defying a curfew and chanted "the Egyptian people want the regime go down," "no to Ikhwan, not to Salafis."
