WASHINGTON
The Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) George Little said that the downing of a Turkish military jet showed once more the illegitimacy of the acts of Assad regime.
In a daily press briefing, George Little said that Syria's act on Friday in downing the Turkish military jet was very defiant and bothersome.
If a request gets made, we are ready to assist the Turkish government in searching for the two pilots missing since Friday, Little said.
Meanwhile, another Pentagon Spokesperson John Kirby, in response to a question, said that Syria's downing the Turkish military jet was a deliberate act.
