ISTANBUL
Prof. Ahmet Mete Isikara, chief advisor of the head of Turkish Red Crescent, passed away in Istanbul on Monday.
Prof. Isikara, an expert on earthquakes, died due to respiratory failure at Medical Park Goztepe Hospital.
Isikara had been under treatment at the hospital since December 8, 2012.
