Speaking to reporters at the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul on Tuesday, Bagis said that "the EU decision would be beneficial in that the Syrian regime and its supporters would perceive certain things. We want tranquility in Syria".
Bagis later departed from Istanbul for Italy where he will attend a conference titled "Turkey as an Emerging Regional Power: Challenges and Opportunities" and meet with Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Marta Dassu in Milan.
