France's socialist government is making preparations to lift the political obstacles that were placed by former President Nicolas Sarkozy on Turkey's EU path.
Diplomatic sources told the Anadolu Agency (AA) that the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will provide information to his Turkish counterpart on France's new attitude at the international security conference to be held in Germany on February 2.
Fabius is expected to convey to Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu France's intention to lift the political obstacle regarding five chapters.
