Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz has said, "The operations of our private companies in Russia make us proud and happy. This projects lifts Turkey's name to a higher level."
Yildiz on Thursday attended the International Economic Forum in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.
Yildiz also attended the signing ceremony of the Turkish construction group Ronesans Holding, which has undertaken the building of an organized industrial zone in the city of Leningrad.
Yildiz said that the Ronesans Holding made investments in Moscow, Leningrad, Tatarstan and in several Russian cities and underlined that this kind of investments strengthened the ties between both countries beside oil and natural gas.
He noted that he had a very profitable meeting with President of Gazprom Alexsey Miller and added, that he also met with Massoud Barzani, the President of the regional administration in north of Iraq, and talked about projects in the region.
