Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday said that Turkish military operations would cease when terrorists lay down arms.
Addressing the residents of the western province of Denizli to mark the beginning of the new educational year, Erdogan stated that the terrorists should know that security operations would come to an end when the terrorists give up arms.
"Only in the past 10 days, 123 PKK terrorists were killed in the south-eastern province of Hakkari. Between February and August 2012, a total of 373 terrorists were killed. During operations conducted in the past month, around 500 PKK terrorists were killed," Erdogan also said.
