Dirioz stated that it was important for NATO to develop its qualifications for the safety of its members in the panel he spoke at the 19th International Antalya Conference on Security and Cooperation.
"If Europe wants to rank in NATO, it should find ways economically" said Dirioz regarding the austerity policy in the NATO.
He also added, "To establish this, more importance needs to be given to 'smart defense' systems, more multi-cultural entrepreneurs should be encouraged and resources should be used in a more effective manner."
Permanent Representative of Turkey to NATO Haydar Berk said, "Turkey, as a country suffered deeply from terrorism, censures all types of terror and requests a higher level of cooperation."
He also stated, "Synergy is the key word that will bring us success."
