Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that there was need to combine the Middle Eastern people with cross-border policies and this was the policy of Turkey.
Davutoglu, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota appeared on a tv program and replied to questions late Friday.
In regard to Turkey's relations with Iran, Davutoglu said that there were deep-rooted relations and an improvement in economic relations between the two countries.
Turkish authorities only took notice of statements by Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, he said.
Answering a question on relations with Israel, Davutoglu said that Turkey's principles were clear and definite, and Israel knew well what it should do. If Israel did not do what was necessary and if it restrained Palestinian people's living space, Turkey could not remain silent to it, he said.
In regard to developments in Syria, Davutoglu said that if Russia and Iran had been included in this process earlier, a major part of this tragedy might not have taken place.
Replying to a question, Davutoglu said that there was need to combine the Middle Eastern people with cross-border policies and this was the policy of Turkey. "Our dream is based on a global and regional peace," he said.
Davutoglu said that Turkey had a broad vision.
Answering a question, Swedish FM Bildt said that Islamophobia was one of the most important problems in the world.
Touching on Turkey's policy on the Middle East, Bildt said that the world appreciated Turkish government's and people's generosity for Syrians.
Mideast countries were neighbors of Turkey and that's why there was need for a close cooperation between the EU and Turkey, he said.
