BURSA
President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Dervis Eroglu on Wednesday visited the Bursa branch of the Turkish Veterans' Association.
Speaking to reporters at the association, TRNC President Eroglu indicated that he came to Bursa as the TRNC's third president but that he had served as a doctor in the Magusa region during the Peace Operation of 1974.
Touching on the new Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiadis, President Eroglu stressed that, if Anastasiadis came to the negotiation table with a willingness for a solution, "we may reach an agreement".
However, even if an agreement was reached, we would like to see Turkey's guarantorship in the island continuing, Eroglu also said.
