Safety corridors to get aid to thousands facing death due to harsh weather conditions in Syria and Gaza must be set up, say International human rights advocacy group Rabia Platform, non-profit organization launched in September.
Syria is experiencing its third winter season under the shadow of civil war, while Gaza has been under Israeli blockade for the last seven years, says the organisation which urges global and regional organizations to act.
"We call on the Muslim world and humanity at large to join this campaign for urgent humanitarian and medical aid," the group says.
Two infants in Syria froze to death on Thursday, local activists and opposition group Syrian National Coalition (SNC) announced, the latter warning of mass deaths unless urgent aid arrives.
The Rabia Platform takes its name from the Rabia al-Adawiya Square in Egypt, home to peaceful anti-coup sit-ins that were dispersed by the Egyptian military's violent crackdown on August 14.
