One of the most important skiing and winter tourism centers of Europe, Uludag is ready for the new year and all hotel rooms in the region have been booked.
Sources told the Anadolu Agency (AA) that snow thickness at Uludag is around one meter.
Snowfall is expected at Uludag on January 1.
Skiing season at Zigana Mountain begins
Skiing season at the Gumuskayak Skiing Facilities on Zigana Mountain began on Sunday.
Students from the Black Sea Technical University (KTU) joined the opening ceremony at Gumuskayak.
Zigana Mountain is located at the provincial border of Gumushane and Trabzon.

Skiing season began in Bitlis province with a ceremony attended by Bitlis Governor Veysel Yurdakul on Sunday.
Bitlis is located in eastern Turkey.
