The head press official of Turkish Presidency Ahmet Sever announced on Saturday the Supreme Military Council (SMC) decisions.
Sever stated that President Abdullah Gul approved the decision of SMC on Saturday.
According to the SMC decisions approved by Gul, full general Hulusi Akar was appointed as the commander of the Turkish Land Forces, vice admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, who was promoted to the rank of full admiral, was appointed as the commander of the Turkish Naval Force, lieutenant general Akin Ozturk, who was promoted to the rank of full general, was appointed as the commander of the Turkish Air Force, and full general Servet Yoruk was appointed as the commander of Turkish Gendarmerie.
