DAMASCUS (AA) – Forty-six people, including 4 children and 6 women, were killed Monday by forces loyal to the Syrian regime in several cities across the country, activists said.
Regime forces killed 13 people in Homs, 10 in Damascus suburbs and 8 in Aleppo, said the London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) which tracks civilian and dissident casualties.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) indicated the reigme attacked the Damascus neighborhoods of Duma, Haresta, Kabun, Yermuk and Dareya with heavy weaponry.
Noting that many residential areas had been damaged in the attacks, the SRGC expressed that the regime had bombarded regions, mainly Idlib, where the opposition resides.
More than 100,000 people have been killed in the more than three year old conflict, according to the UN, while over two million people have fled the country to seek refuge in other countries, mostly neighboring Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq.
