Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis on Tuesday said that technical works were underway in Turkey to block access to an anti-Islam movie, Innocence of Muslims, upon directives by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Speaking on the state-run TRT Turk TV channel on Tuesday, Egemen Bagis emphasized that "technical works were underway to block access to the anti-Islam movie which insulted Holy Prophet Muhammad".
"I do not want to call it a movie. It was a piece of crap. This crap should not demoralize us. Just as the movie is ugly, so are violent protests against the movie, including killing diplomats," Bagis underlined.
"We have now begun working on making insults against (holy) values a crime against humanity upon directives by Prime Minister Erdogan," Bagis noted.
"God willing, many world leaders will listen to Turkey's call on the issue and urge the United Nations to take steps to make the whole world livable for all," Bagis also said.
