ADANA
Construction of a tent site for Syrian refugees in Turkey's southern city of Adana will be completed soon.
Adana Governor Avni Cos told reporters on Friday that the site would have a capacity to host 13,000 people, adding that the construction would be completed within a few days.
All teams are working continuously, said Cos, adding that the site was not only for Syrian refugees but also for Turkish citizens who would need a shelter in case of a natural disaster in the future.
We hope the situation in Syria will get normalized and Syrians will not need to stay here, Cos added.
Cos noted that they would begin to accept arrival of Syrian refugees in the camp next week.
