Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek on Saturday said that "we must be careful against all possible forms of provocation as individuals and organizations in order not to create new pain."
Cemil Cicek issued a message of condolence for those who lost their lives in two separate blasts in Reyhanli town on Saturday.
At least 40 people were killed and more than 100 others were wounded in the blasts
"I condemn the atrocious attacks, wish God's mercy to those killed and wish speedy recovery to those wounded," Cicek stated.
The Turkish state and government will investigate this atrocious act and do whatever is necessary, Cicek said in his message.
"We must all act with commonsense. We must be careful against all forms of possible provocations," Cicek also said.
Cicek also received information on the Reyhanli blasts, from the Governor of the southern province of Hatay, Celalettin Lekesiz.
According to a statement released by the Turkish Parliament on Saturday, Cicek phoned Lekesiz to receive information on the Reyhanli blasts that led to the death of more than 40 people and wounded more than 100.
Cemil Cicek offered condolences to the families of the blast victims and wishedpeedy recovery to those citizens who have been wounded.
Meanwhile, speaking on a private TV channel based in Izmir province, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag underlined that "the timing and location of Saturday's blasts were very important. Those who caused the blasts certainly had calculations."
Turkish nation's commonsense will prove the calculations wrong, Bozdag also said.
On the other hand, speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Turkey's Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis stressed that the blasts in Reyhanli broke the hearts of everyone.
We should not forget, as a nation, that we are shoulder to shoulder and have to be in solidarity at this difficult day, Bagis also said.
