Turkey: 3 ex-soldiers with FETO links jailed for life
Twenty-seven others given prison terms ranging from 3 to 16 years while 10 suspects were acquitted

A Turkish court handed life sentences early Wednesday to three former soldiers for FETO links.
Ex-Brigadier Commander Hasan Polat, ex-regiment commander Col. Etem Metehan Yasar and ex-commander Col. Kadir Ayhan were given aggravated life imprisonment by the Hatay 2nd Heavy Penal Court for "attempt to overthrow constitutional order".
Twenty-seven other suspects were given jail terms ranging from 3-16 years.
Ten other suspects were acquitted.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup attempt of July 15, 2016 which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
