SANLIURFA, Turkey

A total of six civilians were killed after terrorist group PKK/YPG fired mortar shells and rockets from Syria into Turkey’s southeastern provinces on Thursday.

Muhammed Omar, a nine-month-old baby boy and an adult identified as Cihan Gunes lost their lives after terrorist group PKK/YPG attacked from Syria into Akcakale district of southeastern Sanliurfa province. Another 45 were injured due to the attack.

Elif Terim, an 11-year-old child, was also killed in the Ceylanpinar district of Sanliurfa.

In southeastern Mardin province, Fatma Yildiz, 48, and her two daughters Emine, 12, and Leyla, 15, lost their lives due to terrorist attacks.

Another 24 were also injured in the Nusaybin district of Mardin.
