ISTANBUL
Turkey Industrial Development Bank (TSKB) secured a $100 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Turkish bank said in a statement on Friday.
The loan is to be used to provide finance to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It will be provided under a guarantee of the Treasury Undersecretariat.
“The loans we provide for SMEs which have significant shares in employment, production and exports will increasingly continue,” the head of TSKB Ozcan Turkakin said in his keynote speech.
The signing ceremony for the loan was held with EIB President Werner Hoyer, chief of the department responsible for EIB’s lending operations in Turkey Dietmar Dumlich, the head of TSKB Ozcan Turkakin, and Vice President of TSKB Orhan Beskok in attendance.
