COX'S BAZAR
TIKA officer Mikail Tasdemir told an Anadolu Agency correspondent that TIKA opened a computer lab in a primary school in Cox's Bazar province of Bangladesh and distributed 300 sewing machines to the Rakhine Muslims sheltering in the camps.
Tasdemir said that they would distribute 50 more computers in the region.
Speaking about TIKA's projects, he said that the construction of a primary school was about to be finished and 10 healthcare centers would be built soon.
Fatima Aftarki, one of the recipients of the sewing machines said that she would sew her families clothes as well as selling some of her products.
"This will earn an income for my family. I am grateful to Turkey," she said.
