ANKARA
Bulgaria's Chief Mufti Mustafa Haci has said that Turkey fully supported Bulgarian Muslims.
Speaking to AA correspondent, Haci said that they wanted to benefit more from Turkey's experiences.
1.5 million Muslims have been living in Bulgaria whose population was 7 million, he said.
Haci said that there were 1,500 mosques, three religious high schools and one high Islam institute in Bulgaria.
Haci said that they have been working with Turkey's Religious Affairs Department and Turkish embassy in Bulgaria also extended great support to them. "We want to boost cooperation more," he said.
Chief mufti said that they also wanted to send students to Turkey.
Haci also said that most of Muslims knew Turkish and many followed news stories of the Anadolu Agency (AA).
