Turkey's inflation rate for April is expected to rise to 1.34 percent from the previous month, according to a panel of economists polled by The Anadolu Agency on Thursday.
The median of the estimates for April by 14 economists was 1.34 percent with the highest forecast standing at 1.83 and the lowest at 0.7 percent in the survey.
The monthly inflation rate in March was 1.19 percent.
The median year-end inflation rate was predicted to hit 7.60 percent according to forecasts based on April data.
Central Bank Governor Erdem Basci said on Thursday in a press conference held to announce the second inflation report of the year, that they revised their year-end inflation forecast to 6.8 percent from 5.5 percent.
Inflation figures are closely watched in Turkey after Central Bank officials repeatedly said they would maintain a tight monetary policy until there are clear signs of improvement in the inflation outlook.
However, government officials complain the policy limits growth.
