ANKARA
Turkey’s opposition Nationalist Movement Party's (MHP) candidate has been elected mayor of the eastern province of Igdir on Sunday.
Isa Yasar Tezel bagged 21,429 votes, according to unofficial results.
Earlier on Sunday, millions of Turkish voters cast their votes in the local elections to choose Turkey’s mayors, city council members, mukhtars (neighborhood officials), and members of elder councils for the next five years.
