DIYARBAKIR, Turkey
Two Turkish policemen have been injured in an attack being blamed on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in southeastern Diyarbakir province, security sources said on Wednesday.
The militants attacked Cermik District Police Headquarters with handmade explosives at around 3.00 a.m. local time (0000GMT), the sources added.
A clash broke out after Turkish security forces responded immediately.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
