Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu received a delegation from the Arab and International Relations Council headed by the council's chairman, Mohammed al-Sager.
The delegation also included former Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora, Chairman of al-Iraqiya Movement Ayad Allawi and Jordan's former Prime Minister Taher al-Masri.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources, the delegation members briefed Davutoglu over the council's talks in Syria and Russia, telling the Turkish minister that the council's main objective was to find a way to end bloodshed in Syria and maintain stability in the region.
Davutoglu said Turkey would support any effort to stop bloodshed in Syria, adding that the Arab council was an important initiative.
