Total automotive production in Turkey decreased by 1 percent and automobile production dropped by 8 percent in first quarter of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.
Automotive Industry Association (OSD) said on Thursday, in the first three months of 2013, the total market went up by 11 percent and the auto market went up by 17 percent compared to the same term in 2012.
Total automotive exports increased 2 percent while auto exports went down 2 percent in the same period and recorded 205 thousand motor vehicles and 111 thousand automobiles respectively.
The total automotive production in Turkey decreased by 1 percent and recorded 277 thousand motor vehicles while automobile production decreased by 8 percent and recorded 142 thousand in January, February and March 2013 compared to the same term of 2012.
