Turkey's Borsa Istanbul down at weekly close

Turkey's benchmark stock index fell 0.76% to 1,100.55 points at close on Friday.

After starting the day at 1,112.88 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 8.38 points from Thursday's close of 1,108.93 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,956.05 by market close, up from $1,941,.10 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $45.70 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT) on Friday.
