ANKARA
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan on Thursday said that Turkey's budget outlook was much better compared to the US.
Babacan delivered a speech at the opening of the Turkish Fulbright Commission in Ankara.
Stating that Turkey and the EU were cooperating in many international issues, Babacan quoted Hillary Clinton as saying Turkey and the US had much in common as they both carried the feeling of global responsibility.
"Turkey's budget outlook is much better compared to the US. Turkey's official foreign development aid has reached 2.5 billion dollars in 2012. Turkey's aid to foreign countries focuses mainly on education and health services in the recent years," said Babacan.
