LONDON
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc and Anadolu Agency's CEO and General Director Kemal Ozturk were in London on Friday for the inauguration of Anadolu Agency's new London office.
Arinc said that AA became a successful brand thanks to visual and written news, and the efforts of the correspondents working within regional directorates and offices abroad.
He added that the news stories of AA were followed by the whole world and the London office will help meet this demand; in a short period it will become one of the most prestigious news agencies.
After wishing every success Kemal Ozturk and the agency's employees, Bulent Arinc added that the reason for AA's success was objectivity and its rapid news publishing.
Anadolu Agency's Kemal Ozturk said that the London office would enhance the power of the agency underlined that correspondents working in the London office would produce Turkish, English and Arabic news in the field of finance, "thus it will be our center for financial news."
He also added that the agency has been serving Europe from the Brussels office, London becomes the second biggest office in Europe.
In addition to the AA's executive board members and regional directors of the Anadolu Agency, British Parliament's House of Lords' member Baroness Pola Uddin, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus' delegate in London Oya Tuncali, Press Association's CEO Clive Marshall and several delegates from a Turkish non-governmental organization named Turkuaz attended to the inauguration ceremony.
