Turkish film and television actress Oya Aydogan has died Sunday at the age of 59, hospital sources said.
Liv Hospital in Istanbul issued a statement saying that Aydogan, who was admitted for an “acute aortic dissection” on May 7, died at 7.15 a.m. (0415GMT) Sunday morning.
Aydogan was born in Turkey’s northeastern province of Erzincan in 1957.
The actress is renowned for her roles in cult Turkish movies, such as 1978’s Neseli Gunler (Happy Days) and Yuz Numarali Adam (Man Number 100) and in TV shows.
