SARAJEVO
Turkish National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz has said, "Years ago, here in Bosnia, it was remained silent to the same massacre. This cannot continue forever. Turkey approaches sensitively towards the Syria issue and has already taken necessary precautions."
Minister Yilmaz replied the questions of AA about the crisis in Syria and combating terrorism.
He said that the Syria issue is not only Turkey's problem and noted, "Turkey is one of the mostly affected countries from the violence in Syria because nearly 90 thousand Syrians escaped to Turkey. Syrians ran away from the pressure of their regime and they seek a safe harbour for their children and families, and then they find Turkey safe to come."
Yilmaz stated his point of view over the question, "Did international community remain silent about the crisis in Syria?". Yilmaz replied, "Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu mentioned this clearly at the UN. Years ago, here in Bosnia, it was remained silent to the massacre too. This massacre cannot continue forever. However, no matter how much the international community is aware of things, how fast they take actions, then less number of innocent people would die. If they stay unconcerned about it, then more innocent people would lose their lives."
He also added that as Turkey approaches sensitively and carefully over the Syria issue and stated his point of view about combating terrorism saying as, "We will continue combating against armed ones."
