ANKARA (AA) - July 29, 2012 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that what happened in Aleppo city of Syria hurt consciences.
The methods of Syrian regime are escalating in dosage and turning into a humanity crime, added Davutoglu who spoke to private Kanal 7 television on Sunday.
Destroying Aleppo means to destroy the future of Syria, said Davutoglu, adding that al-Assad regime was not able to see its own future, and it was punishing its own people.
Davutoglu said that international community should take action, adding that he would hold another meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon today.
The situation in Syria concerns surrounding countries and causes a security risk, said Davutoglu, adding that the UN, Russia and China should revise this situation.
The incidents in Syria affected Arab countries and Turkey most, but the countries, which are not affected at all, have the right of veto within the UN, he added.
Davutoglu said that this massacre should be stopped.
Regarding the developments in the north of Syria, Davutoglu said that Turkey had foreseen those developments beforehand.
Noting that the north of Syria was different from the north of Iraq, Davutoglu said that there were many different ethnical and sectarian elements in the region.
It is shown that as if the north of Iraq is completely under the rule of PKK terrorist organization, said Davutoglu, adding that Turkey would not allow any terrorist structuring anywhere near Turkish border.
Davutoglu warned that Syria would be divided, if de facto administrations were set up before democratic elections were held in the country.
