
NEW YORK
Turkish movie days will take place in New York between April 27 and May 10.
The event will be organized by American Turkish Society and Moon & Stars Project under the name "The Space Between: A Panorama of Cinema in Turkey".
It will be the most comprehensive Turkish cinema retrospective ever held in the United States.
A total of 29 movies, which won several awards and dating back to 1950s till today, will be displayed within the scope of the event.
Turkish director Rasit Celikezer's "Can" movie, which was the first movie participated in Sundance Film Festival from Turkey, will be displayed in the opening ceremony.
The Moon and Stars Project was founded in 2002 in New York as a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization, dedicated to promoting greater cultural interaction between the United States and Turkey, and highlighting the changing face of Turkey's arts and culture scene.
In 2011, Moon and Stars Project became a part of The American Turkish Society, a pioneer organization committed to enhancing ties and mutual understanding among the people of U.S. and Turkey.
