Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek has urged for common sense related to the Gezi Park incidents by saying, "These protests must be ended immediately."
Donating blood on the World Blood Donor Day, Cicek said each citizen needed to donate blood.
Touched upon the Gezi Park protests, "Violence or force is not a way of claiming right in any democratic state. These protests must be ended immediately."
The parliament speaker also said that they wished those events never happened.
"During the demonstrations, many public properties and shops were damaged and many citizens' private vehicles were torched by of the extremist elements among demonstrators. The protests cost over 70 million liras."
The protests which started in reaction to a construction project in Taksim, Istanbul turned into nation-wide demonstrations against the AK Party government, leaving deaths, dozens of injuries during the clashes with police, while hundreds were arrested.
