ANKARA
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan left for Russia on Wednesday.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz, Justice & Development (AK) Party Deputy Chairman Omer Celik and National Intelligence Agency (MIT) Undersecretary Hakan Fidan are accompanying Erdogan.
Erdogan will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin during his stay in Russia.
Recent regional and international matters, especially Syria, will be high on the agenda of the meeting of the two leaders who will hold a joint press conference later in the day.
Turkish Prime Ministry press center stated that Erdogan's visit, which would be held upon Putin's invitation, would be a new link in the ongoing comprehensive and effective dialogue between Turkey and Russia.
Erdogan and Putin will discuss the progress recorded in Turkey-Russia relations, new cooperation opportunities as well as recent regional and international matters, especially Syria issue, noted the ministry.
