Brazilian Minister of Foreign Relations Antonio de Aguiar Patriota said, "We have signed the initial agreement for double taxation with Turkey which Brazil does with very few countries."
Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) on Thursday hosted Brazilian Minister of Foreign Relations Antonio de Aguiar Patriota in its headquarters in Istanbul.
Patriota stated that the agreement would further contribute to the relations between two countries who are both leaders in their region.
Head of TUSKON Rizanur Meral said that Turkey's foreign trade volume was to be around 400 billion dollars in 2013 and the total trade volume was around three billion dollars between two countries which he found to be low considering the capacity of both countries.
Meral also said that they considered Brazil as a gate to Latin America and Brazil considered Turkey as a stepping stone for Middle East, Central Asia and Northern Africa.
