ISTANBUL (AA) - September 19, 2012 - Iran's Supreme National Security Council Chief Saeed Jalili said on Wednesday that they discussed common points with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton on Tuesday's meeting in Istanbul.
Speaking to reporters at the Iran's Consulate in Istanbul, Jalili said that Catherine Ashton should evaluate the results of the Tuesday's meeting with 6 countries which are U.S. Russia, China, France, England and Germany.
"Catherine Ashton should discuss our meeting's results with these six countries. A frame should be drawn for the next meeting, taking into consideration of the decisions that were made at the meeting in Moscow held in the level of experts and assistants," said Jalili.
Jalili said that following the Moscow meeting they prepared a plan, "They requested that we should meet at experts and assistants level, and meet also together. After their demand there were several meetings at experts and assistants level in Istanbul," added Jalili.
Jalili stated that Tuesday's meeting with Catherine Ashton was beneficial, and they assessed common points.
