Turkish Air Force aircraft fly in Romanian airspace
Under NATO Enhanced Air Policing Mission, 4XF16 and KC-135 Stratotanker from Türkiye AF 9th and 10th Main Jet Base Commands did joint operation with RAF Eurofighfer Typhoon deployed in Romania
ISTANBUL
Turkish Air Force aircraft flew in Romanian airspace as part of a NATO Enhanced Air Policing mission, the country’s National Defense Ministry said Sunday.
“Within NATO Enhanced Air Policing Mission 4XF16 and KC-135 Stratotanker from Türkiye AF 9th and 10th Main Jet Base Commands, conducted joint operation with RAF Eurofighfer Typhoon deployed in Romania and F/A-18 aircraft from @NATO countries Spain and Finland over Romania,” said the ministry on X.
Romania joined the NATO alliance in 2004, while Türkiye has been a NATO member for over 70 years.
