Türkiye’s low-cost airline AJet, a subsidiary of the flag carrier Turkish Airlines, has launched flights between Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Manas International Airport in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
The flights, which began on Monday, will operate four times a week on a reciprocal basis, AJet announced on its website.
A ceremony was held at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport before the inaugural flight to Bishkek, attended by AJet General Manager Kerem Sarp, along with other executives from the airline and the airport.
Following the ceremony, passengers on the first flight were served refreshments onboard.
After a five-hour journey, the plane was welcomed with a ceremony in Bishkek.
