Uganda congratulates Türkiye on 101st anniversary of Turkish Republic
Government urges Turkish business community to visit, invest in Uganda
KAMPALA, Uganda
Uganda sent a congratulatory message Tuesday to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to mark the 101st anniversary of the declaration of the Turkish Republic.
Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives David Bahati delivered the message at a reception hosted by Turkish Ambassador to Uganda Fatih Ak, which was attended by junior Defense Minister Huda Oleru, government officials, representatives of foreign missions, Turkish state aid agency country representative Murat Cetin and others.
Bahati urged members of the Turkish business community to visit Uganda and invest in various sectors including agriculture, mining and education, among others.
He reiterated that Uganda gives free land in industrial parks, fully serviced with electricity, water, tarmac roads, high-speed internet, industrial waste treatment plants and tax holiday, as incentives.
Ak paid tribute to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish republic.
He said Türkiye holds firmly to the historical values of the nation’s founder, for the country to continue prospering in peace and tranquility for generations to come.
