BEIJING
Ten people died in persistent heavy rainfall in southwestern Sichuan province and Chongqing city in China, according to Xinhua news agency.
Around 8,200 houses were destroyed and nearly 200,000 people were evacuated, said local authorities.
National Meteorological Center in China issued blue warning signal of rainstorm Sunday.
