BUDAPEST
Gabor Vona Atilla, the leader of the Hungarian opposition party, JOBBIK, on Monday said, "As descendants of Turks we attach great importance to this visit and will do everything necessary to tighten the historical ties between the two nations" prior to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Budapest visit.
Atilla stated that the power of Turkey was accepted in the international arena and had reached the level that could set an example to the nations in the world.
Congratulating Turkey, Azarbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia for their military cooperation, Atilla stated that he had no doubt of this cooperation serving peace.
Stating that Hungarians considered Turks as their brothers and sisters, Atilla said," We stand at a historical juncture. Turkey is considered a world power from many perspectives. I believe partnerships will benefit both parties. I have mentioned that we should strengthen our relations with Turkey in my speeches at the parliament many times. I hope this historical opportunity will be used wisely."
