The joint UN and Arab League special envoy on Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi on Monday asked the permanent members of the UN Security Council to implement urgently the decisions of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council on Syria.
In his report to be opened to discussion at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab League, Brahimi demanded from the five permanent members of the UN Security Council to implement the decisions taken on Syria.
In his report, Brahimi underlined that he visited Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Russia and China in order to seek ways to end the bloodshed in Syria.
Brahimi's report underlined that the crisis in Syria got bigger each passing day and was a threat to the Syrian people, the region and the world.
Brahimi's report also underlined that he was hopeful about overcoming the difficulties vis-a-vis the Syrian issue.
